Aside from what I wrote in Day Ten's entry, which was essentially the same question, God is teaching me that He's got everything under control. It's funny how certain things are brought into your life at certain times: a job, a friend, an event, etc. Since I don't believe in coincidence, because coincidence happens entirely too often to be just that, I believe it's all in God's timing.
I've prayed for God to bring great Christian friends into my life, and that's happening. I've prayed for the health of family members, and He brought healing. Not all of these were answered immediately, but the point is they were answered. Time and time again I've doubted the timing of God, but if there's one thing I've realized it's this: He knows best. I'm so glad there is Someone out there who knows me better than I know myself, because if I were left to my own "expertise" in this life who knows where I would find myself right now. In a way, it's comforting to know that I don't have all the answers. That means I can take a lot of stress off myself and let it rest on someone else's shoulders, namely God's.
Don't believe me? Check out Psalm 139. Below I've pasted a few of the verses that mean most to me:
"1 O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You understand my thought afar off.
3 You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways. . .
And are acquainted with all my ways. . .
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb. . .
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand . . .
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand . . .
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart . . ."
Luke 12:6-7 “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."

This song pretty much says it all. He loves us, knows us and will never leave our side.
